Fishers, IN – The City of Fishers, a proud Commemorative Partner of the Vietnam War Commemoration, will celebrate National Vietnam War Veterans Day with a free public ceremony on Monday, March 29. The program will honor veterans and their families who served during the Vietnam War period and will include a Vietnam Veteran’s lapel pin presentation.
The ceremony will be held outdoors at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. In the event of severe weather, the event will be moved indoors to the Fishers YMCA. The ceremony will also be live streamed on the City of Fishers’ Facebook page.
Registration is required for this event. Registration can be done online or by calling Fishers Parks at 317-595-3150. Masks will be required upon entry and during the ceremony, and attendance is limited to 200 people. ADA parking is available in the City Hall parking lot, as well as the north Fire Department lot. In the event of severe weather, we the event will be moved indoors to the Fishers YMCA (9012 E. 126th Street). Due to indoor capacity limitations to accommodate social distancing, veterans who served during the Vietnam War period will have priority to attend until the indoor capacity limit is met.
