Fishers Public Library (HEPL) 2024 budget order was issued, with a final tax rate is $.0313 for the General fund and $.0182 for the Lease Rental Payment, for a combined rate of $.0495.
The total tax levy for 2024 was said to be $7,752,151.
The rate has fallen as the assessed valuation for the area has increased. This decrease in the rate followes the trend from the last couple of years. The combined tax rate in 2023 was $.0522 and in 2022 it was $.0573.
This information was provided by HEPL. This tax rate follows decreases in rates from the City of Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern Schools. Overall, while rates are down, due to increase assessed values, property tax bills for many Fishers residents are still expected to be increasing.
