The school has announced and emailed regarding a new Parent School Safety Academy.
The program will be held over two evenings on December 1 and December 8 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Participants must be available to attend both sessions to be considered. There is no cost to attend.
The deadline to register is noon on November 6, 2022.
This is a program for parents of current HSE students who are interested in learning more about the safety initiatives and protocols. It includes a behind-the-scenes look at our safety principles and fundamentals will help you better understand how the school responds to various situations that occur in the buildings.
The program will not reveal details that would compromise safety protocols, but it will provide you a foundation of safety practices that will aid you in responding to a crisis and allow for constructive feedback.
Overall, it sounds like this is a super-charged version of the Parent sessions they’ve done in a single evening in the past.
The program is limited to 50 participants. Participants must have an up-to-date Safe Visitor background check, which is standard for what is needed to get into the schools during the daytime.
